What's New
The new 2007 version offers a more intuitive interface and functionality enhancements including a more powerful SequenceBrowser, drag-and-drop timeline, multiple playheads for version and shot comparisons, expanded .Look and LUT support, built in ReviewLink remote collaboration technology, and the optional DualStream module for stereoscopic playback.

Reliable Performance
At the same time, FrameCycler Professional 2007 retains the qualities that have made it the leading uncompressed playback application for the past six years: it's fast and easy to use. FrameCycler plays virtually any format you can throw at it so there's no waiting around for file conversions. Sequences load quickly and almost every function can be activated with a single hotkey or mouse click. Included in the file format improvements are considerably extended OpenEXR support and the ability to display defect maps included in a DPX file.

See Your Work
Along with a powerful set of playback controls, FrameCycler Professional includes a treasure chest of image analysis tools. The Vectorscope, Histogram, and Color Picker provide image data and the Interactive Zoom tool allows for precise examination of any part of a frame or sequence. Channel views make it easy to find artifacts or check for compatibility issues against various output formats.

Sophisticated image analysis tools include scanner infrared defect map visualization, split screen and
false color modes as well as histogram and vectorscope controls with side-by-side comparision of multiple playheads.

All about Integration
FrameCycler was designed from the ground up to fit into virtually any production and review pipeline. It is the only playback application to run on all three major operation systems; it supports all industry-standard file formats; and its simple command line syntax makes it easy to create integration scripts - standard integration scripts already exist, for example for Shake, NUKE, and Maya.

FrameCycler Gets Color Right
FrameCycler Professional 2007 supports SpeedGrade .Look files and timelines that allow you to preview color without having to render first. Accuracy is guaranteed by support for all common industry standard calibration LUT formats.

Backward (and Forward) Compatible
FrameCycler Professional 2007 uses the same command line language and playlist scripts as versions 2.7 and 3.x. In addition, FrameCycler can accept SpeedGrade playlists and play these with SpeedGrade color corrections applied.

Remote Collaboration Every seat of FrameCycler Professional 2007 includes a ReviewLink client, IRIDAS' new remote collaboration technology. With ReviewLink, artists can conduct secure, perfectly synchronized daily sessions with FrameCycler DDS, FrameCycler DI or SpeedGrade DI over the internet from anywhere in the world. The new annotations functionality allows you to add text notes and hand drawing to a frame or image clip. The information is stored as metadata in the playlist and is automatically communicated to all participants in a ReviewLink session.

The New DualStream Stereoscopic Module
IRIDAS has been doing stereoscopic playback since 2002 - but now you don't need to buy a special version of FrameCycler to do it. The DualStream stereoscopic module is available as an add-on for all FrameCycler Professional 2007 owners. Buy it now, or upgrade later when you need it.

Stereo playback is completely transparent with automatic detection of left/right eye clips and support for mirroring individual channels. Playback can either be directed to two individual DVI outputs or combined on a single screen for viewing with active shutter glasses.

FrameCycler Professional and FrameCycler DDS share the FrameCycler base feature set. FrameCycler DDS extends the functionality to include real time direct from disk playback and EDL conform functionality.
